Learning Community in Slovenia

The CE Learning Community in Slovenia has a general approach to CE. The general focus lies on the social and environmental responsibility of CE, more than on economic logic or self-sufficiency. The learning community will focus on materials, water, energy and value.

The partner Interzero is working with circularity of technical and biological materials. They are exploring different R-strategies and find Reduce and Recycle quite important. The focus areas at the coordinator IEDC relate to management education and sustainable/circular business models.

How to turn circular economy from a buzzword into a business advantage?

Do we understand all the dimensions of the circular economy? Do we understand the basic practical principles and basic business models?

Companies can redesign products, services, and operations to reduce costs, cut risk, and unlock new revenue—by keeping materials and value in use for longer. With CER’s recommendations “Implementing the circular economy in business practice” as a backbone, we’ll translate circular principles into concrete actions: where to start, what to prioritize, and how to turn pilots into scalable change across the value chain.

You will leave with:

  • a clear overview of the most relevant circular business model options
  • a simple decision logic: what to do first, what to measure, and how to avoid greenwashing
  • real-world implementation steps: roles, partnerships, KPIs, and common pitfalls

Ideal for executives, sustainability leads, innovation teams, procurement, operations, and anyone responsible for competitiveness in a resource-constrained world.
