Learning Communities
In the BECOME project, four Learning Communities (LC) are developed, one in each partner country, namely Slovenia, Bulgaria, the Netherlands and Finland.
These learning communities will be regional networks across the four EU member countries involved, functioning as points for training, knowledge exchange and cooperation with and for corporate/labour market actors. Together, we shape regional networks in exchange with politics, civil society and the public sector for sustainable circular transformation at the level of society. However, the aim of these LCs is to also go beyond the regional implementation and foster overarching exchange between the four country hubs to further contribute to European added value.
By creating functional and attractive CE Learning Communities in Europe and positioning them close to communities of practice, it is possible to bridge the divide between theoretical knowledge sharing in education and practical (corporate) implementation. The CE communities are formed by people and organisations that share a common need and passion for sustainable development and circular economy and are interested in cooperative learning and exchange.
The aim of the Learning Communities
The aim of developing the LC’s is to educate current and future professionals able to develop viable solutions for the circular economy and its respective business models. To reinforce the transition towards a circular economy, we need to reinforce the cooperation between education and labor market actors. In the LC’s, both students and experts are engaged in training activities, where state-of-the-art knowledge and best practices are shared.
