BECOME Partner Meeting in Turku, Finland

On 4–5 December, partners of the BECOME project from Slovenia, Bulgaria, Finland, and the Netherlands came together in Turku, Finland for our biannual partner meeting.
During these two days, we discussed progress across the project’s seven work packages, reviewed key deliverables and milestones, and placed special focus on the training programme for professionals currently under development, scheduled to take place in the Netherlands in March 2026.
A meeting like no other
Day 1 took place in a truly unique setting: on board a Viking Line ferry en route to Stockholm, with a mid-day transfer on the Åland Islands before continuing on to Turku. An inspiring meeting unfolded while sailing through the Baltic Sea, surrounded by the many islands off the coast of Turku.
Back on land
Day 2 was hosted at Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS), after which we wrapped up the meeting and headed home—following, of course, a final group photo.

Looking ahead, we will start the new year with preparations for the professional training programme, something we are all very much looking forward to.
